What inspired you to get into the field of education?:
There was never an "aha moment" for me when I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. I just always knew that I would work with children, it's in my DNA! My gift!
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?:
The most rewarding part of my job is: the one on one connection I get to make with the kids and to develop a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. I love to help build on their strengths and to support them to overcome their weaknesses!
General background information (years in education, degree(s), Universities/Colleges attended):
My post secondary education was in Early Childhood Development. I have worked for PSD since 2008 as a paraprofessional and Integrated Service support.
Interests/Hobbies:
My interests have been my family. My husband Randy and I have four beautiful daughters that I was blessed to be a "stay-at-home mom" with. I love volleyball, hiking, baking, reading, interior design and LOVE any beach, anywhere at anytime!
Thought Provoking Quote:
"A day without kids is like a day without sunshine!' And that's all she wrote.
