At Polaris, we hold Student-Led Conferences twice a year. Instead of teachers and parents talking about a student, the student leads the discussion, sharing their learning, progress, and goals for improvement. This encourages responsibility and reflection on both successes and areas for growth. Students use organized portfolios to showcase their work, challenges, and learning. In the primary grades, students also take part in discussions about their progress.
