About Me
What inspired you to get into the field of education?:

I was inspired to go into the field of education because of my passion to learn, find, and try different ways to help all students learn  to their highest capability.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?:

I love so many aspects of my job here at Polaris! One of the most rewarding is when I see things "click" with students when they are struggling with a skill or concept. I also find it rewarding to find new ways that help students be successful in the classroom and seeing that what has been put into place, works.

General background information (years in education, degree(s), Universities/Colleges attended):

I graduated from University of Northern Colorado in 2011. I started my college experience in Michigan where I began my teaching degree at Western Michigan University before moving to Colorado in 2009.  I have been at Polaris 3 ½ years as well having completed my student teaching at Lab School prior.

I love living in Colorado because there are so many opportunities to explore your interests and hobbies. I like to be active and thoroughly enjoy the outdoors; hiking, camping, biking, running, and gardening. I enjoy researching, being informed, and informing others about healthy food and fitness options.

Thought Provoking Quote:

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” -Albert Einstein

My Classroom
Courses Taught:

I am mostly in classrooms supporting students, but I also teach a 5th period study hall for middle school.

About My Classroom:

I provide educational support here at Polaris. I mostly go into classrooms to support students who may need a little extra teaching or practice with a concept. I am always striving to find techniques that work well for individual students to best support their learning. My door is always open to those who may need an extra hand with their learning!
